South African social media users are seemingly sick and tired of tech billionaire Elon Musk. His latest attack on Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema appears to be the last straw for locals. Many are now accusing the Tesla and SpaceX founder of having a vendetta.

Earlier this week, Musk again accused Malema of inciting white genocide in SA. Last year, the billionaire blasted Malema for his insistence on chanting the struggle song, Kill The Boer.

X users are now accusing him of trying to push a “fake narrative.”

In 2023, EFF Chief-in-Command Julius Malema went head-to-head with the world’s wealthiest man, Elon Musk.

It all started when Musk condemned Malema’s chanting of the apartheid struggle song, Kill The Boer.

The pair went back and forth in a fascinating online war of words which left social media users stunned.

Just when everyone thought it was over, Musk again called Malema out.

This has led to certain X users to become suspicious of the 52-year-old’s intentions. Some are even saying he shouldn’t be claimed as South African – despite the fact that he was born in the country.

“Dear South Africans. This man is not South African…just because he’s rich doesn’t mean we have to claim him,” one person wrote.

SA weighs in

In the comment section, many app users took some time to share their perspectives on the matter.

“Facts there’s no need to claim him as South African. He’s not on our side, he’s misinforming the world about our country,” one person wrote while another argued:

“He’s definitely South African. He may have left the motherland but he’s very much South African.”
