South African musician Da L.E.S just announced that he will be releasing a new album. The rapper, real name Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr, took to X to share that the album, Welcome to 313, will be available on streaming platforms in December this year.

Unfortunately for him, the news was met with a lacklustre response from his followers who don’t appear to be very excited. Some trolls even went as far as to tell him to give up on making music.

Lukewarm reception

The post didn’t gain much traction, only amassing 1.2 likes so far. In the comment section, the rapper’s die-hard fans welcomed him back.

There were however many trolls who wondered why he was even working on music still. Some harshly commented that he should retire from the game and focus on something else.

“N*gga the last time u ever put out something good was “lifestyle” now fell off hard u can’t flip papers might as well flip burgers with me we hiring,” one person commented while another said:

“Ay retire manje.”
