Born Lebohang Naves, DJ Naves is making headlines after confirming his exit from Metro FM. The celebrated radio host took to Instagram to confirm the news to fans.

No doubt, this is his second exit from the station. In 2017, he hogged headlines when he left the station after seven years. However, he made his much-awaited return to the station after partying ways with Gagasi FM two years into his contract.

DJ NAVES LEAVES METRO FM

Taking to Instagram, DJ Naves posted, “Looking back on my time at Metro FM, I’ve had the privileged chance to be part of some great shows like Rhyme & Reason, The Preparty, The Kings Suite, and Kings Of The Weekend. It’s been such an awesome journey of growth over the years.”

He made it known that he will be bidding farewell to his fans on 27 January.

The DJ also revealed he was ready for the new chapter and not scared of it. He posted, “Change is always there, and it’s time. I’m not scared of it. It’s a new start, a chance to learn and a time to create on a fresh slate. I’m so thankful for the experiences, opportunities and the incredible people I’ve worked with – some of whom have become lifelong friends.”

He said he would be working under the Kings of The Weekend brand. “I’m pumped for the next adventure and the next parts of the #KOTW journey that I’ll soon share with you.”

With a career spanning years, he has quickly become one of the most sought-after DJs in South Africa. He has managed to cap his career with several accolades.

Over the years, he has spread his wings to small screens. DJ Naves has starred in big-budget drama series, including Isibaya.
