Zahara’s body has made its final trip to her home in East London ahead of her funeral next week.
In clips posted on social media, the late singer’s body was transported in a white casket following her memorial service at the Rhema Bible Church in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Earlier this week, the singer – real name Bulelwa Mkutukana – died after a long battle with liver complications. She was just 36 years old.

ZAHARA’S WHITE CASKET TRAVELS HOME
On Saturday, 16 December, the white coffin containing Zahara’s body was seen leaving her Roodepoort home in Johannesburg, where it traveled to East London.
According to Mothibe Funeral Parlour, the all-white coffin, with silver accents, was transported via airplane to the King Phalo Airport in Eastern Cape.

Family and friends in mourning received the casket, where it will remain until her funeral on 23 December.

FUNERAL DETAILS
Zahara will be laid to rest just two days before Christmas. The private ceremony will take place at the Phumlani Informal settlement in East London.
According to The SABC, the singer’s family will receive assistance from local and provincial governments.

Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane told the broadcaster: “Working with the family and Buffalo City Metro, we are going to make sure she is given a funeral that is off her stature.
“This is our daughter who was loved by many and soothe many through her music”.
