Bravo B breaks silence following disqualification from ‘Big Brother Mzansi’

Lindokuhle Nsele, better known as Bravo B, has released a statement after he was disqualified from the Big Brother Mzansi (BBMzansi) competition on Friday, 26 January.

The 29-year-old food vendor from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) was immediately evicted from the house after the show’s producers, as well as MultiChoice, found that he “threatened the safety of the housemates on the show.”

MULTICHOICE CONDEMNS GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

On Friday, Bravo B and his fellow contestant Tshepo “Makhekhe” Tau were recorded plotting to have sexual intercourse with their fellow female housemates because they were under the influence of alcohol.

In a video circulating on social media, Bravo B is heard saying they should “f**k” Zinhle “Zee” Mofokeng or Liyema “Liema” Phantsi because they are drunk.

The video sparked outrage on social media, as viewers called for both Bravo B and Makhekhe’s disqualification. Other viewers threatened to report the show to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA).

Following investigations, MultiChoice released a statement announcing Bravo B’s disqualification. The company also revealed that 27-year-old Makhekhe from Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, would be coached on “behaviour etiquettes”.

BRAVO B SAYS HE REGRETS HIS ACTIONS IN THE ‘BIG BROTHER MZANSI HOUSE’

In a statement on his Facebook account, Bravo B’s management said that the former contestant regrets his behaviour.

“In light of Bravo B’s disqualification from the show, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Big Brother for providing this transformative platform and opportunity. We acknowledge the gravity of the situation and offer sincere apologies to our fellow housemates, loyal fans, and esteemed sponsors.

“Bravo B deeply regrets the actions that led to this outcome, and he takes full responsibility for the disappointment and hurt caused. In this moment of reflection, he expresses profound remorse and emphasizes that he is not proud of what transpired,” read the statement.

His management emphasised that his actions inside the Big Brother Mzansi house were not reflective of his true character. He further thanked fans for their unwavering support and encouraged everyone to learn from his experience.

“Makhekhe, we wish you all the best as you navigate the challenges within the Big Brother Mzansi house. May this experience serve as a catalyst for positive change, and we hope you find success and growth in the journey ahead.

“In closing, we appreciate the understanding and patience of everyone involved. Bravo B is committed to learning from this experience, and we hope for continued support as we navigate this challenging chapter.”
