Like his aristocratic wife, Lady Kitty Spencer’s husband, businessman Michael Lewis, also has ties with South Africa.

Here are five things you didn’t know about the billionaire businessman.

1. Michael Lewis is the chairman of Foschini Group. The group was initially bought by his father, Stanley Lewis, who found Lewis furniture stores in the 30s. The group also owns Jet, the Retail Apparel Group in Australia, and British chains Whistles and Phase Eight, Standard reports.
2.  According to the publication, Michael is on the board of several fund management firms.
3.  Both Michael and Kitty spent time in Cape Town.
4.  He met his wife, Lady Kitty Spencer, through mutual friends in 2018.
5.  The businessman donated £3 million (estimated at R67 million) to the University of Oxford to appoint the first professor of Israeli studies.

INSIDE THE BUSINESSMAN’S NET WORTH

Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer’s husband, Michael Lewis, is a businessman of note and boasts a net worth that spans millions.

According to Express , Michael is worth a staggering £80 million (about R1.7 billion), which puts the power couple at a combined net worth of over $200 million (more than R3.6 billion).

Lewis, 62, is five years older than Kitty’s father. Her husband is the chairman of the Foschini group, a clothing company in South Africa, the publication reports.
