According to TMZ, the iconic talk show host, Jerry Springer’s burial was held on Sunday in a Chicago suburb with just a limited number of relatives and friends in attendance.

The legendary talk show host passed away from cancer on Thursday, 27 April 2023 at the age of 79.

According to people who spoke with the site, the funeral included a religious ceremony that adhered to rituals from traditional Jewish culture.

A public tribute for Jerry Springer

A public memorial service for Jerry Springer is also scheduled for later this month.

It is now slated on May 16 2023 in Cincinnati, and it is most likely going to be public with free tickets available to track attendance.

About 500 people are expected to attend, according to the organisers, and the service will provide a summary of Jerry Springer’s life and legacy, both at work and outside of it.

Famous faces and Jerry Springer’s celebrity friends are anticipated to come, but the major focus will be on fans getting a chance to honour the “Judge Jerry” star.

There’s a good chance that the memorial ceremony will be broadcast online so that more people can view the tributes, speeches, and musical performances.

Just hours after Jerry Springer passed away at home in Chicago last week, his family issued a heartfelt statement confirming his death.

Jerry’s ability to relate to people was the key to his success in whatever he attempted, according to his agent, whether it was politics, television, or simply laughing with passers-by who wanted a picture or a word.

His family emphasised that he is irreplaceable and that his passing hurts deeply, but that memories of his intelligence, compassion, and sense of humour will endure.

His daughter Katie Springer and sister Evelyn survive the former “America’s Got Talent” host, whose final TV performance was as The Beetle on the final season of “The Masked Singer.”

Springer graduated from Northwestern University with a law degree in 1968 before the debut of his self-titled talk show series in 1991.

Later, he helped Robert F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign as an advisor before beginning his own political career, which included a brief stint as Cincinnati’s mayor from 1977 to 1978.

Jerry Springer started his career in television by working at the WLWT, an NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, where he won 10 regional Emmy Awards.

Jerry Springer hosted the programme Judge Jerry for three seasons from 2019 to 2022 after finishing his 28-season stint.
