Trevor Noah ‘breaks-up’ with Minka Kelly – but what caused the split?

A relationship that blossomed during lockdown seems to have encountered its own set of restrictions. Trevor Noah and Minka Kelly have allegedly split-up with each other, after spending just over a year as an item.

What has prompted this split, we hear you ask? Well, it would appear that we’ve got an amicable break-up on our hands. It’s not as dramatic as many were expecting, and People Magazine has reported that ‘work commitments’ were the biggest issue for the pair. Both are working on various projects at the moment, limiting their quality time together.

A source told the publication that the divergence in their careers ultimately drove a wedge between their love. This comes just months after a close friend of the pair stated that they were ‘very happy together’. Alas, what had the potential to be a serious relationship has now been put on ice.

“The pair felt they had completely different careers. Minka and Trevor broke up, their work commitments and careers are very different and they both felt they should take time apart.”

Who is Minka Kelly?

Minka Kelly was born in LA in 1980 and raised in New Mexico. Her dad is probably cooler than yours too – she’s the child of Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. She has worked in modeling and was once offered the chance to become a Playboy Playmate. The American national is of Dutch, Irish, and French heritage.

She is perhaps best known for her current role in Titans, a TV adaptation from the DC comics universe. Kelly has featured in several Hollywood films, including 500 Days of Summer and Just Go With It. However, star turns on the silver screen made her a household name: Looks like Trevor Noah might have to take the batteries out of his remote for a bit.
