At the time of the video release, Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny’s Child singer, disclosed that no one had addressed the humorous scene in which she used the spreadsheet editor to text Nelly. It left her feeling somewhat “nuts.”

When Scherer asked if anyone had questioned the unconventional choice during the shoot, Rowland responded with a firm “No.” She was mildly annoyed that they hadn’t discussed the peculiar scene.

She added, “And I’m mad at them that they didn’t because they made me look nuts.” The amusing video moment resurfaced in 2019 when TikTokers delved into Excel’s advanced features. They confirmed that it was indeed possible to send messages using the software.

She admitted, “I don’t know what Microsoft Excel is. I don’t have a clue.”

Nelly, addressing the situation in 2016, explained that the choice was a product of the technology available at the time.

He acknowledged that it might look a bit dated now. However, the 49-year-old artist emphasised the constraints they faced during that era.
