If there’s one thing about the internet, it is the fact that it never forgets. And Bafana Bafana’s trolling of Morocco and player Achraf Hakimi after the latter’s World Cup gloat is proof of it.

The South African soccer squad knocked out the Atlas Lions out of the Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday evening. They will now progress to their quarter-final game against Cape Verde on Saturday, 2 February.

MZANSI MOCKS VIRAL MOROCCO WORLD CUP VIDEO

As is customary, South Africans rolled out their best jokes, memes, and shade in celebration of Bafana Bafana’s advancement.

Their target? Team Morocco and player Achraf Hakimi. The Paris Saint-Germain player was dragged for missing a penalty during the game, which likely cost the country its spot in the Afcon quarter-finals.

And SA had plenty of receipts to share on social media. Mzansi reminded Morocco of their past transgressions at the 2022 Fifa World Cup when they sent Portugal home by celebrating their victory, Ronaldo style.

Tweeps also dug up a viral video of a young Moroccan fan who mocked an emotional Ronaldo by stating: “He’s crying in the car.”

Roping in Achraf Hakimi, SA tweeps responded with their own shade.
