Celebrated media personality Pearl Thusi took to social media to honour late Kwaito star Mshoza.

Nomasonto Maswanganyi – affectionately known as Mshoza – died at 37 in November 2020.

PEARL THUSI REMEMBERS MSHOZA

The bubbly media personality took to Instagram to remember award-winning Kwaito star Nomasonto Maswanganyi.

Pearl Thusi captioned her heartfelt post: “Rest easy, baby girl… I think of you so often.”

No doubt the post has since gained thousands of reactions and comments since it dropped. Many flooded her social media as they shared some of the star’s best moments.

Mshoza was an award-winning Kwaito star who had her shot to fame in the early 2000s.

She had her thrust into the limelight after dropping her debut album BullDawgz First Lady. The album had several smash hits that topped the charts, with Kortes standing above the rest.

Mshoza died in November 2020 from diabetes complications. In 2014 she disclosed her diabetes illness after being hospitalised for health concerns.

With a career spanning years, she quickly became that star singer we all love to hate, thanks to her bubbly personality. Upon her untimely death, she had capped her career with several awards.

In 2019 she hogged headlines when she wowed many with her unmatched talent when she appeared on ‘Good Friday with Skhumba and Ndumiso.’

She was undoubtedly frequently in the news for her love life. Maswanganyi also advocated for gender equality, defending her fellow artists in controversies ranging from risque outfits to skin-lightening procedures.
