According to Tipcee, the accident occurred on Tuesday, in Pinetown, while she was travelling with friends.

“We were leaving the garage somewhere in Pinetown, we were in a Ford Ranger, the traffic light was green for us, then some man appeared in an orange car who just skipped the traffic light and crashed into us right by the middle of the intersection. The man apologised and said he’ll pay for the damages,” she told the publication.

The Afrotainment signee said she sustained injuries on her knee, head and mouth.

In February, ZiMoja reported that Tipcee was down and out after leaving Afrotainment.

“Tipcee left because she wasn’t feeling appreciated, and she wanted to teach them a lesson. She felt she was invisible and she could do it on her own, forgetting that the music industry is not easy.

“It’s very difficult to get bookings and worse if you are not in Tira’s corner,” a source told the publication.

However, she denied the claims in an interview with TshisaLIVE.

“I’ve been with Afrotainment for five years, even on Instagram the new song is there. I’m all right, I’m alive. I’m at Westville in my home. Everything was fine until this thing yesterday,” she said.
