Gomora’s Ntobeko Sishi compared to The Weeknd in new song

Following the final season of Gomora confirmed to be airing its last season this year, former Hectic Nine-9 presenter and actor Ntobeko Senzesihle Sishi took time to announce his latest EP song I Don’t Dance which was said to be “out now”.

According to his Instagram bio, Sishi is a music writer and can also be caught acting on the television screens. But there is apparently one thing that Sishi can not do, and that’s to dance.

He has recently released a new song with a familiar tune. Sharing the news online, he said,

“Happy to announce that this is the lead single from the EP I’m dropping soon. Coming out next Friday (14 April), it’s now also a sound on TikTok for those who can’t dance to shoulder shimmy with me. Love ❤️”

In a statement released online, it’s said that the R&B/Pop single I Don’t Dance was inspired by Canadian singer The Weeknd.

According to Briefly, Sishi was quoted as saying,

“The Weeknd has always had an impact on the music I make, I am a huge fan of his. I am still trying to find the sound but there is definitely going to be The Weeknd influence that you will be hearing.”

The statement also said that Sishi’s song is about true events that once happened one night out during university.

MORE ABOUT THE ACTOR’S CAREER

After filming three seasons of Mzansi’s beloved telenovela, Gomora will be airing its final season to conclude its storylines, DStv reported.

The show was said to have broken viewership records a month after it premiered. However, it has now run for three years and was set to air its final episode on 20 October this year.
