FANS COMPLAIN ABOUT OVERPRICED RWC FINAL TICKET PRICES

No doubt records will tumble, with South Africa hopping to be the second nation to win back-to-back World Cup finals. Also, heading into the clash, they haven’t lost a final match at the biggest rugby tournament.

On the other hand, the All Blacks will be hoping to prove their dominance, having played four finals and winning three ahead of the clash.

Their only defeat came at the hands of the Springboks in 1995. Despite many willing to attend the epic final, ticket prices seem to be a stumbling block to many Boks fans back home.

A now-viral photo shared on X, formerly Twitter, revealed some of the alleged RWC final ticket prices. They are reportedly pricing from R18 550 to a jaw-dropping R169 880. However, the nine different categories determine the prices.

No confirmed reports reveal that the ticket prices cover additional expenses, including flights, meals and transportation. However, of interest is that the exchange rate between the rand and the Euro doesn’t make it any easier. Diamani also offers last-minute tickets with the least package for $2 727, which amounts to R51 855.

RECORDS TO TUMBLE AT THE RWC FINAL

No doubt records will tumble at Stade de France on 28 October when two triple champions square off. Heading into an epic encounter, the Springboks haven’t lost in a final, and if they manage to win, they will become the second side to win back-to-back titles.

On the other hand, the All Blacks’ win over Argentina saw them reach their record fifth final appearance. However, one of their defeats was in the hands of the Springboks during the 1995 final.

However, Will Jordan might go down in the history books of World Cup Rugby if he manages to score a try in the epic encounter. Jordan is one try away to become the first player to score nine tries in a single men’s tournament.
