Employee vs hustler: DJ Sbu claps back at Sizwe Dhlomo [watch]

‘He’s an employee, me and him are different. I am a hustler, I build things,’ said DJ Sbu comparing himself to Sizwe Dhlomo.

South African musician DJ Sbu has shocked social media users after revealing that he is willing to work at SABC for the right price. In a clip shared on Twitter by @ThisIsColbert, DJ Sbu can be heard saying that for the right price he would serve his country by going back to the SABC . Shortly afterwards, radio host Sizwe Dhlomo mocked him for saying getting a job at Metro would be him “serving SA”.

The DJ has now come out to share a response with Sizwe who he says does not understand the life of a hustler because he is an employee.

Musician and media personality Sbusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope has always presented himself as a successful businessman and the epitome of black excellence.

This image may just have been broken after he revealed that he is open to working for the SABC again — should they make him a good offer.

“Financially or commercially it has to make sense because ultimately I have to put food on the table for my family and I am a businessman at the end of the day,” he said.

shortly after the clip was shared online, Kaya FM radio host Sizwe Dhlomo took to Twitter and mocked Sbu for saying his return to SABC would be him “serving his country.”

Shortly afterwards, the Remember When It Rained hitmaker shared a clapback with Sizwe who he says does not understand the life of a hustler.

I got nothing against Sizwe. I love him, and he is my brother. He’s done really well for himself, but Sizwe is an employee, you know what I mean. Me and him are different. I built things. So when you are gonna have an opinion about a hustler, you will not understand how he moves when you are an employee and getting a big fat check at the end of every month.

While many have shared their thoughts about Sbu’s response to Sizwe.

Responding to his comments, one person said:

“Sbu was just afraid to mention that mazambame is a trust fund baby and also still getting things through his family connections.”
