AMAZULU PLAYER’S WIFE’: YOU WERE EVERYTHING’

Bongi Ntuli’s wife, Sinenjabulo Zungu-Ntuli gave an emotional speech at his memorial service this week and gave an account of his last few days in hospital.

“What am I supposed to do? On Friday, two days before our wedding, he was taken to hospital in the am because he was struggling to breath. I was instructed to continue with preparations for our wedding as per instructions. Around 9:10 the doctor called me and told me, my husband is very, very ill.”

“Your departure epitomises everything you were, quick, fast and unexplainable. You were everything my love. Thank you for loving me loudly, boldly. You were one brave guy.”

She adds that her husband was trying to hide the pain, and she knows he fought it. She wishes she could have helped him through the pain and she’s glad she was able to be there.

“The doctor told me how much Bonginkosi loved me. The doctor knew everything, where we were married to preparing for a traditional wedding soon.”

IOL reports that Ntuli’s wife also revealed that she will miss the endless phone calls, ice cream trips with her husband and watching football highlights.

“Bongi has left a big hole in all of our hearts. I thank God he took his last breath in my hands and our mother’s. At least I was there with you until the very end.”
