Tito Mboweni was left with a hungry belly after his plan to cook tinned pilchards failed dismally, due to load shedding.

The former Minister of Finance has a fondness for the fishy dish, which he regularly prepares to the amusement of his 1,4 million Twitter followers.

But Tito had to pause his culinary concoction, thanks to Eskom.

TITO MBOWENI HALTS COOKING DUE TO LOAD SHEDDING

Not for the first time, Tito documented how his plan to cook tinned pilchards came to an abrupt end.

Tweeting a few hazy pics in the dark, he shared: “Just as I was preparing my meal, boom! Darkness. Ja neh. Ku rough”.

Surprisingly, the former cabinet minister does not own a generator.

Just last weekend, Tito cooked up another fishy dish – “hot fish soup.” But Tito’s fans commented that they would not serve the meal to the “worst enemy.”

Meanwhile, Tito Mboweni will be digging deep into his pockets to afford his favourite meal – tinned pilchards.
