‘Last few home games’: The Kolisi’s gear up to leave South Africa

Friday, 14 April, Siya Kolisi’s wife, Rachel, took to Instagram to remind her online followers that her family will be relocating to France by the end of this year, and that her rugby captain husband will sadly be leaving the Sharks rugby team as well.

THE KOLISI’S ON THEIR LAST FEW WEEKS IN SOUTH AFRICA

At the beginning of the year, the rugby captain released a statement on Twitter revealing that he will be joining the French club, Racing 92.

He also shared that he plans to leave South Africa with his family after the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

His wife Rachel recently reminded her Instagram followers of the plan, saying,

“Last few home games with @sharksrugby 🥹🥲 I love it here ❤️

“Nic and Kez always love taking pics with us 😅.”

According to Rugby World Cup, the last game is said to be scheduled for Saturday, 28 October where the semi-final winners will play against each other.

When netizens came across the post, they rushed to the comment section to bid the Kolisi family farewell in advance.

Kolisi has made quite a name for himself. He is the first black man to ever captain the national rugby team.

According to IOL, a documentary about him titled Rise was set to debut on 1 March on Showmax Pro, and on 6 March on Showmax.

It was said that it would take a deep dive into the Springbok and Cell C Sharks captain’s life, documenting his humble beginnings to him inspiring the nation and the world.
