Thabo Bester’s romantic reunion with alleged lover Nandipha Magudumana at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court has gone viral on social media. And so has a clip of the convicted criminal leaving the building in a luxury car entourage.
The duo and ten others are on trial for charges relating to Bester’s prison escape last year. But it seems prison life is just as good as life on the outside for the alleged conman…

LUXURY RIDE FOR CONVICTED CRIMINAL
On Tuesday, 8 August, Thabo Bester and his co-accused Nandipha Magudumana were all smiles as they reunited for the first time since their April arrest in Tanzania.
The rumoured couple – who sat side by side – were seen giggling, chatting, and even holding hands.
According to EWN, the case was adjourned until 11 October pending further investigation.

But just as quickly as he appeared, the Louis Vuitton-clad criminal vanished into a luxury motorcade. The 37-year-old – previously convicted of rape, murder, and fraud – is currently being detained at Kgosi Mampur’s C-Max prison in Pretoria.

WHY DID THABO BESTER, NANDIPHA APPEAR IN PERSON?
During Thabo Bester’s last court appearance in June, his attorney Tsoeunyane Pela appealed to Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi to permit him to appear in person. This, to allegedly quel any suspicion that Bester was indeed behind bars.

However, Khabisi scoffed at the suggestion, stating: “This court has got no reason to believe that the wrong person was brought before the court.”
However, in a turn of events, National Prosecuting Authority stated that Bester would make the five-hour commute from Kgosi Mampuru to the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.

Spokesperson Phaladi Suping said: “All the accused will be appearing physically in court.”
