SA sensation Tyla addresses rumours she’s dating Rema [watch]
Following a picture of SA’s Tyla and Nigerian afrobeats star Rema together, fans have been convinced that the pair are an item.

South African singer Tyla has finally addressed the rumour mill following a “dramatic” picture of her and Nigerian afrobeats star Rema which set tongues wagging last year.
The Water hitmaker was a guest on The Dotty Show on Apple Music where she spoke about flying the SA flag high and her blossoming music career.

TYLA ON ‘THAT’ PIC WITH REMA
Last year, Tyla was pictured in the car with Rema – popularly known for his hit song Calm Down – which went viral as fans assumed they were a couple.
“That was so dramatic. After that situation I realised Hollywood vibes? You can’t trust everything you see. Because that looked like a scandal. But yeah, just friends,” Tyla told Dotty.
However, when asked which celebrity would she take to prom, she said she’d take Rema, also highlighting that she doesnt have any celebrity crushes.

RAISING THE SA FLAG HIGH
Speaking about being from SA, Tyla said: “Yoh, it’s a flex. Like, I keep saying it like, it’s such a flex to be from South Africa, especially right now.
Tyla spoke about the amapiano sound which has taken the world by storm.
“Everyone has the sense of pride for our country and we are always bragging about it(amapiano).
“We know that we have the sauce, the parties in South Africa are crazy and yeah, I’m just happy that I’m able to be one of the artists to push it more.”
