Handre Pollard’s wife is celebrating his return to professional rugby following a recent injury rehabilitation. This comes amid rumours the Springboks player has been selected as a potential option to replace Malcolm Marx at the Rugby World Cup.
Marx was recently ruled out of the tournament after sustaining a long-term knee injury. But while the competition has ended for him, could it just be the beginning for Pollard?
The Springboks will take on Romania on Sunday, 17 September.

HANDRE POLLARD ‘CONFIRMED’ AS POTENTIAL REPLACEMENT FOR MALCOLM MARX
According to SA Rugby Mag, Handre Pollard had been shortlisted to possibly join the Springboks squad at the Rugby World Cup in France, claims assistant coach Mzwandile Stick.
This, after Malcolm Marx sustained an injury in training, which resulted in him being ruled out of the competition.

Stick told reporters: “Handre Pollard is one of the guys, but at the moment, we haven’t made any final decision. We are still looking at options.
“The key thing is that we just wanted to focus on the Romania game”
Stick also threw Joseph Dweba’s name into the list of candidates he claimed would be decided upon after Sunday’s game.
WIFEY CELEBRATES RUGBY RETURN
While Handre Pollard did not initially make the Springboks squad, he has returned to playing at his team, Leicester Tigers.
The star athlete made his first appearance following his recent calf injury in a game on Friday against the Sale Sharks.

Celebrating the move, Handre’s wife posted a clip of him playing on her Instagram Stories.
The clip was titled: “Pollard is back”.
The celebratory post comes two days after the Influencer posted pics of her and her husband enjoying London’s spot of sunshine.
