Makazole Mapimpi – one of the Springboks’s most eligible bachelors – has his fair share of female fans. But one unlucky lady revealed her regret at blue-ticking the star athlete before he became a household name.
The woman made headlines in 2019 when she attempted to unsuccessfully reconnect to the World Cup-winning rugby player.

WOMAN RESPONDS TO MAPIMPI DM AFTER BLUE-TICKING HIM
Just days after Makazole Mapimpi was hailed a hero for helping South Africa win the Rugby World Cup in 2019, a woman went viral for responding to a DM from the Springbok player.
The only issue was the woman – identified as Vuyolwethu Linyana Ntshukumbana – replied to the star’s messages THREE years after he sent them.

In a screenshot that did the rounds on social media, Mapimpi was seen trying to chat up the Voyolwethu in her DMs. The messages went unread.
Fast forward to his 2019 fame, and the woman suddenly decided to strike up a conversation. Hilariously, Vuyolwethu blamed a faulty network for her silence.

It came as no surprise that South Africans were amused by the woman’s poor excuse to get Mapimpi’s attention.
One Twitter or X user posted: “Asazi to those who are not responding to our DMs. There will come a time when the network will come back.”

Four years after the DM drama, where is the woman who ultimately rejected Makazole Mapimpi?
The woman is still active on social media via her TikTok account. According to her account, she works in a popular retail store and is an aspiring make-up artist.
