The Sussexes are making their way from Los Angeles to the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the Queen’s 70-year reign.

The Australian website news.com.au reports that the Sussexes are expected to head to their old home at Frogmore Cottage, on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where they are likely to stay for the duration of their time back in the UK.

It is believed that Prince Harry and Meghan are due to attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Friday, 3 June, and the Party at the Palace on Saturday, 4 June.

When will the Sussexes make an appearance?

However, Prince Harry and his family will not be involved in all of the royal events because they are no longer working royals and senior members of the royal family after stepping aside and moving to the US in 2020. This includes making an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour.

A palace spokesman said: “After careful consideration, the Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday, 2 June, will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen.”

Prince Andrew is also not expected to make an appearance.

The couple will also celebrate their daughter’s birthday on Saturday, 4 June. It is believed that other members of the Royal Family may visit the Sussexes at the cottage to celebrate.

A special reunion?

Royal fans are excited to hopefully see Prince William and Prince Harry (whose relationship has been strained for the better part of five years) reunite for the first time since unveiling a statue for their mother, Princess Diana.

According to an exclusive from The Mirror, the brothers are intentionally working to repair their rift, hoping for a drama-free weekend celebrating their beloved grandmother.

The Mirror reports that the brothers are exchanging regular messages on WhatsApp and FaceTiming one another weekly without their respective wives present so as to heal their bond as brothers.

“The previously warring pair are now said to be back to some form of normality after William made the first move to heal the family rift before next weekend’s celebrations,” the publication reports.
