Nicole Shanahan, ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin denied rumours that she had an affair with South African-born billionaire Elon Musk according to a report by People.

NICOLE SHANAHAN DENIES AFFAIR WITH ELON MUSK
About a year ago Nicole Shanahan was accused of having an affair with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Despite both of them denying the rumours, People reports that the allegations led to her then-husband Google co-founder Sergey Brin filing for divorce.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk had an affair with Nicole, said to have taken place in December 2021.
Brin provided Musk with a whopping $500 000 (R8.4 million) for Tesla when the company was struggling to increase production. This was during the Great Recession. Musk also previously revealed that he often crashed at Brin’s Silicone Valley home.
In an interview with People, Nicole revealed that her divorce from Brin was final. She also denied that she had an affair with the South African-born billionaire, insisting that they were never more than friends.
“Did Elon and I have sex, like it was a moment of passion, and then it was over? No. Did we have a romantic relationship? No. We didn’t have an affair,” she said to the publication.
Nicole revealed that she and Musk had just talked about “how I might think about helping my daughter with her autism treatment, given his background with Neuralink.”
“It was a conversation that was very meaningful about life and how people show up for one another. To be painted with such a massive scarlet letter for it just seems so unfair,” she continued.

This comes after the billionaire denied the rumours and slammed the Wall Street Journal back in July 2022.
He commented on a tweet of the report by Whole Mars Catalogue labelling the claims “total bs”. Musk went on to say that he has only seen Nicole twice in three years and when he did there were many people around. So, it was nothing “romantic.” Take a look…
“This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. (sociobits.org) Nothing romantic,” he wrote.
