‘Charming rogue’: Expert says Nandipha is a sociopath [watch]

‘It’s complicated’ is the best way to describe the relationship status between Nandipha Magudumana and convicted criminal boyfriend Thabo Bester.

The duo and ten others are on trial for charges relating to Bester’s prison escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre last May.

But experts have mixed views on the celebrity aesthetics doctor’s involvement in the crime spree – was she a mastermind or under the influence of Bester?

According to EWN, the case was adjourned until 11 October pending further investigation.

BODY LANGUAGE EXPERT HINTS NANDIPHA IS FEARFUL OF THABO BESTER

Earlier this month, Nandipha and Thabo Bester made a loved-up display at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court. It was their first time seeing each other since their April arrest in Tanzania.

In pics and clips that flooded social media, the rumoured couple – who sat side by side – were seen giggling, chatting, and even holding hands.

But body language expert Tania Steyn has claimed that there was more to what met the eye. According to the professional, Nandipha displayed signs that she was anxious and even fearful of Bester’s presence.

Steyn told eNCA: “She was fiddling with her hands because she is anxious.

She curls down and leans forward, and that’s extreme anxiety. To me, she was really nervous about seeing him.

Steyn claimed that Nandipha gave a “fake” appearance and that she was happy to see Bester. That included moving as far away from him as she physically could.

She continued: “Her arm came around her stomach, and women do this to protect their bodies. They feel fear, vulnerable, and threatened. 

“She wants his attention, she craves it, but I do think he is manipulating her.”

OLD FLAMES BURN BRIGHTER?

However, clinical psychologist Sath Cooper argued against the theory that Nandipha Bester was under the influence of Thabo Bester.

He told eNCA: “[Their]  relationship was reignited during his life sentence….The spark of whatever they had before she married was reignited.

Cooper claimed that, like Betser, Nandipha had a sociopathic or anti-social personality.

“It seems that she is somebody who would lie, would do things to cut corners, would be in a position to take the risk of going to the morgue and getting a body released into her custody.

“Now that takes chutzpah. It takes a lot of courage and to give up her own children in the way she has done.

“There’s much more to this than a convicted rapist and murderer enticing an innocent doctor.

Cooper believes Nandipha’s “ego” convinced her that she could get away with her list of charges.

“There’s probably going to be an appeal, and they have the money for it.”

“She strikes me as being this charming rogue. She can manipulate people, she can get away with it”.
