‘Mzansi will postpone him’: SA on Burna Boy concert in ‘Dezemba’

Mzansi was left unimpressed after Burna Boy’s concert was postponed to 16 December, which is holiday season in South Africa.

South Africans have reacted to Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, popularly known as Burna Boy, postponing his Johannesburg concert to December – announced on Tuesday 19 September.

BURNA BOY CONCERT POSTPONED TO ‘DEZEMBA’

Nigerian singer Burna Boy was scheduled to perform in Johannesburg, Gauteng on 23 September. However, Stadium Management South Africa informed suite owners that the event organisers – Ternary Media Group have postponed the show on Tuesday 19 September.

The concert will now be held on 16 December.

“On the morning of September 19, 2023, Ternary Media Group, the event promoter, notified Stadium Management South Africa and SAIL that the highly anticipated Burna Boy live music concert, which was initially planned to take place at FNB Stadium on September 23, 2023, had been postponed,” read the statement.

MZANSI REACTS

South Africans were left unimpressed by the date as it falls within “Ke Dezemba” in South Africa, which is the holiday season for South Africans. Take a look at the reactions.

“He probably didn’t hire South Africans for his event otherwise, he would know better,” wrote @ADS_ZAR.

“His team definitely doesn’t consist of any South Africans if he did then they would’ve told him that’s a bad date 😂,” wrote @Lawrence_Sebeko.
