Miss SA host Bonang Matheba has been accused of botching Bryoni Govender’s name.

Bonang Matheba has been trolled by many South Africans for pronouncing Miss SA runner-ip Bryoni Govender’s first name. 

According to social media users, the pageant host confused the Miss Universe SA’s name with a popular Indian cuisine – breyani!

SAY WHAT? DID BONANG CALL BRYONI, BREYANI?

According to TikToker Sanesh Singh, Bonang made an epic faux pas during the winner’s announcement at the Miss SA finale on Sunday, 13 August. The glamorous event took place at the SunBet Arena.

After announcing Nande Mabala as the second runner-up, Bonang proceeded to crown Bryoni Govender as the first runner-up.

But instead of the correct name, B shouted: “Breyani.”
