Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramakgopa has been nominated for a Feather Award, but it has nothing to do with his mission to put an end to Eskom’s load shedding.

The minister – nicknamed “Sputla,” is in the running for “Socialite of The Year,” and it likely has everything to do with his dazzling dance moves and outgoing personality.

The 15th annual Feather Awards will take place on 9 November at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg.

But no one could predict organisers nominating Kgosientsho Ramakgopa for the “Socialite of The Year” Award.

The minister is in the same category as actress Tshiamo and “slay queen” Lethabo Lejoy Mathatho.
