Fans of Cristiano Ronaldo have been left bewildered by reports accusing him of committing adultery in Iran – a crime punishable by 99 lashings to the body.

According to Iranian media, Cristiano Ronaldo was accused of committing adultery last month. This, after he showed affection to a woman who gifted him a portrait she had made for him.

The father-of-five – who is engaged to model Georgina Rodriguez – visited Iran with his team Al-Nassr. The Saudi squad played against Persepolis in the Asian Champions League group stage.

Upon his arrival, the handsome soccer star was gifted with two portraits by an artist named Fatima Hamimi.
