Pearl Thusi has added her voice to the social media commentary following Dineo Ranaka being suspended from her show on Metro FM.
This after the DJ went viral for performing a dance challenge in studio – including on “expensive furniture and equipment”, claim various reports
Dineo Ranka trended on Twitter after fans and followers questioned whether the move by Metro FM was too harsh. And whilst many tweeps sympathised with Dineo, Pearl Thusi used the opportunity to take a jab at her former employer.
PEARL THUSI SUPPORTS DINEO RANAKA
Pearl Thusi – who was suspended from Metro FM in 2016 over her on-air comments – clapped back at Metro FM’s “toxic work environment”.
She tweeted: “One of the best things I ever did for my self esteem and growth was to leave Metro FM. It’s one of the decisions I’m proudest of. I hope Dineo is ok”.
When tweeps questioned, why she was defending Dineo Ranaka, Pearl Thusi insisted the station was the real culprit.
She added: “I can’t control Dineo’s actions or anyone’s feelings about them- however, Metro is the most toxic environment I’ve ever encountered. That remains regardless of who she is or isn’t”.
Pearl is not the only celebrity who bears a grudge with the national radio station. Other celebs who’ve had run-ins with Metro FM management include Somizi, Unathi, Bonang, DJ Fresh, Robert Marawa, Thomas Msengana and Pearl Modiadie.
