American businesswoman, writer, and Emmy-Award winning television host, Martha Stewart stripped down to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit (SIS) recently and decided to take to her Instagram on Monday, 15 May to let her friends and followers online know just what she was thinking.

Before becoming the household name that she is today, Steward was said to have first worked as a model during her teen years, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit reported. She reportedly worked with huge brands such as Chanel and Unilever. It’s as if it’s all coming full circle as now at her age, Steward becomes the oldest woman to ever model on the cover of SIS, Mirror reported.
On the cover, the 81-year-old could be seen wearing a white costume with a low neckline. She also had on a dramatic yellow cover-up over her shoulders. Stewart rocked a dewy makeup look and topped it off with a bouncy blow-out hair-do.
She had her Instagram followers divided in the comment section when she shared a photo of her on the cover of SI and said,
“I am so thrilled to be on the cover of the @SI_Swimsuit issue! My motto has always been: “When you’re through changing, you’re through,” so I thought, why not be up for this opportunity of a lifetime?”
“I hope this cover inspires you to challenge yourself to try new things, no matter what stage of life you are in. Changing, evolving, and being fearless – those are all very good things, indeed…and be sure to pick up my cover issue on newsstands May 18th!”
