He first got thrust into the spotlight as a teenager when he stunned South Africans on Idols South Africa Season 11. And although he did not win, he has become a global singing sensation. Even international superstar Chris Brown is backing up him.

In 2021 he became the first South African to get signed to Republic Records, joining mega-stars like Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke, Ariana Grande, and more.

In an interview with TshisaLive, Lloyiso said it felt surreal at the time.

“With this international platform, I am going to make more people cry, haha, but on a serious note, I will be able to share my music on a global stage and change people’s lives through my vulnerability in music,” he said.

And who could forget his 2022 performance at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding?

Now R&B singer Chris Brown has taken to his Instagram stories to share Lloyiso’s latest single, Run‘s lyric video.

Lloyiso soon caught wind of the nod and took to Twitter to share his excitement. “Honestly such a great feeling!” he wrote.

But Lloyiso isn’t the only South African artist to get international exposure from Chris Brown. According to ZAlebs, Chris Brown also recently co-signed with rapper Nasty C.

Nasty C rapped on Super Gremlin, which is a beat by US rapper Kodak Black. Chris Brown recently shared the clip of his performance On Radar Radio on his Instagram stories, the publication reports.

The SA rapper expressed his appreciation for the international love on the popular American YouTube show.

The two even recently got to meet.
