KING CHARLES ALLEGEDLY WANTS TO RECONCILE WITH HARRY FOR ‘STRATEGIC REASONS’

A source has claimed that King Charles III wants to end the rift between himself and his estranged son, Prince Harry. However, a source claims that the hopeful reconciliation is for “strategic reasons”.

“Ultimately, Charles has not just a personal but also a strategic need to resolve the issue,” a former palace staffer told the Daily Beast in an article published Friday.

The insider claims that the monarch and Harry have not been photographed together “in years.”

“It’s not sustainable for the king, who is the national symbol of unity, to be on such bad terms with his son,” the source continued.

KING CHARLES ‘WANTS TO REPAIR’ RELATIONSHIP WITH PRINCE HARRY

This follows – Hindustan Times reporting that King Charles gave Prince Harry an ultimatum if he wanted to truly fix their relationship.

“[Charles] will always be there for [Harry] but draws the line at public slanging matches. If the talks take place, the King will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details,” a royal insider said to Bella Magazine.

This comes after royal author Ingrid Seward said that King Charles is “open” to mending his relationship with Prince Harry “so long as he no longer tried to push him around,” according to Hindustan Times.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as senior working members of the royal family in 2020. Tension also began to rise after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. The couple claimed that there were concerns about the skin colour of their son Archie.

Adding to the rift, Prince Harry’s memoir Spare also caused some tension between the Sussexes and the royal family.

Seward said that the Duke of Sussex was “too stubborn to plot any route back” and insisted now would be the perfect time for them to reconcile.

“Despite the huge deterioration in trust, I suspect Charles would be open to having a relationship with Harry so long as he no longer tried to push him around. And a visit to Balmoral – the secluded spot where the Queen was happiest – could have been the perfect place for that to happen,” said Seward to The Sun.
