‘He’s not my father’: Sundowns star Miche Minnies on Ronaldinho comparison

MICHE MINNIES LAUGHS OFF CLAIMS SHE LOOKS LIKE RONALDIHNO
Minnie laughed off claims that Ronaldinho is her father after pictures of her and the former Brazil star went viral on social media.
Speaking to iDiski Times, Minnie rubbished reports that the football legend is her father and denied they look alike.
“You are making me laugh now. I remember it was all over social media and I was like ‘me and this guy, we don’t look the same’ and people were like ‘no, you look alike’.”
“But what I can say is that sometimes God works in a mysterious way. So you don’t know maybe I can get something out of him, and he can maybe boost me to get me things like a team, you understand, but he is not my father (she laughed).”
The 21-year-old added that she’d love to meet him in person because he was a very good player and she likes the reference of the playing thing.
The Sundowns player added that her biological father also responded to the claims and said: “No, that is my child! How can they say that she’s Ronaldinho’s child?”

According to the club’s website, Minnies has won a number of accolades while playing for Mamelodi Sundowns since joining the club in 2021.

- Sasol League Provincial Championship playoffs’ winner
- Sasol League Provincial Championship player of the Tournament
- Sasol League Championship top goal scorer for the Tournament
- Top goal scorer for the Sasol League play winner 2021 with Vasco Da Gama Ladies Coca-Cola Cup
