Elon Musk – or Alien Musk as Julius Malema has called him – is known for his dry sense of humour. But after being shaded by the EFF leader, did the world’s richest man return the favour?

Musk and Malema have been embroiled in a heated war of words this week via the former’s social media platform X.com, previously known as Twitter. This followed a viral video of the outspoken politician performing the controversial struggle song Kill The Boer.

Elon – born in Pretoria, SA – emigrated to Canada and later the US as a young teen.

ELON MUSK CLAPS BACK AT MALEMA?

Earlier this week, Julius Malema clapped back at Elon Musk’s tweet that he is “pushing the genocide of white people” after performing Kill The Boer at the EFF’s 10th-anniversary celebrations last weekend.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, 2 August, Julius referred to his critic as “Alien Musk.”

Malema Clapped back: “He [podcaster Penuel Mlotshwa] says I must educate Alien Musk.

“What is that? No, the one on Twitter, Elon Musk. I must educate Elon Musk.

“Why must I educate Elon Musk? He looks like an illiterate. The only thing that protects him is his white skin.

“Elon Musk wants to learn about this song. The records are there in court”.

Now it seems that Elon has clapped back his critic by butchering his name too.

In a series of tweets, the billionaire businessman voiced his disdain for the politician and his views.

Replying to an old clip of Malema talking about the “killing of white people,” Elon tweeted: “Melama literally just had a stadium of people chanting for racial genocide. He is beneath contempt”.

He added: “He has repeatedly called for the killing of all white people. The “for now” part is false.”

Referring to the EFF, Elon also tweeted: “They are actually killing white farmers every day. It’s not just a threat”.

Elon also condemned an article by The New York Times, that he claimed “has the nerve to support genocide”.

PETTY PAYBACK?

After referring to Malema as “Melama,” many accused Elon Musk of throwing shade.

@_reekee: “Such a childish 52-year-old. You are trying to get even because he called you Alien Musk.”

@Miles_Da_Mike: “So Alien, you watched the EFF press conference. Hence you wrote Melama.”
