Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has given his 105 million Twitter followers a review of the Lord of the Rings prequel The Rings of Power – via a tweet on 5 September.

Variety reports that Elon Musk has reignited his feud with Amazon founder and executive chairman Jeff Bezos with his review of The Rings of Power. Amazon’s buzzy Lord of The Rings prequel The Rings of Power racked up 25 million views after the first two episodes debuted on 2 September.

However, Musk was not impressed. He seemingly reviewed the series in a thread of tweets on Twitter on 5 September. The billionaire claimed the author J.R.R. Tolkien was “turning in his grave.”

“Tolkien is turning in his grave,” he tweeted.

He also claimed that every male character is a coward, jerk or both.

“Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and nice,” he tweeted.

Bezos made a surprise appearance on the Lord of the Power premiere alongside his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez. This showed how invested the Amazon founder was in the series.

Amazon reportedly spent $1 billion (R17 billion) on producing the series. He also tweeted his support for the series. Take a look…

Musk is a fan of science fiction and fantasy books.

“The heroes of the books I read, ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and the ‘Foundation’ series, always felt a duty to save the world,” he said to The New Yorker in 2009.

So, has he reignited his feud with Bezos? The pair have a history of butting heads. This is because they are in fierce competition to grab market share in the emerging space tourism and exploration industry.

NASA picked Musk’s SpaceX, to build a lunar lander system to transport astronauts to the moon last year. This prompted the company’s main competitor, Bezos’ Blue Origin, to file a lawsuit.
