Despite distancing himself from South Africa, Elon Musk has slammed Julius Malema’s comments and called on the president to intervene.

Since leaving South Africa as a young teen, Elon Musk has said very little about his country of birth. But in a surprising turn of events, the world’s richest man slammed EFF leader Julius Malema for inciting violence after a video of him singing “Kill The Boer” went viral.

The clip was recorded at the EFF’s 10th-anniversary celebrations at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 29 July.

ELON MUSK SLAMS JULIUS MALEMA

In a tweet that surprised South Africans, Elon Musk responded to concerning news back home.

The billionaire businessman – who was born in Pretoria –  reacted to a clip of Malema singing the song on stage. The clip was posted by New York Times journalist Benny Johnson who described it as “shocking.”

An outraged Elon responded: “They are openly pushing for the genocide of white people in South Africa.”

Elon then stunned his Twitter followers by tagging President Cyril Ramaphosa. He added: “Why do you say nothing?”

OUTRAGE OVER CONTROVERSIAL STRUGGLE SONG

Elon Musk joined countless others who have voiced their outrage at Malema’s brazen political and racially-charged statement.

The DA’s John Steenhuisen revealed that the party would be filing charges against the EFF leader with the United Nations Human Rights Council.

VF-Plus leader Pieter Groenewald tweeted a picture of him laying criminal charges against Malema at a local police station.
