A look inside DJ Zinhle and her ‘baby daddy’ Murdah Bongz lobola negotiations which was revealed on her reality show.

Entertainment blogger Musa Khawula shared a clip of South African DJ and businesswoman DJ Zinhle and musician Bongani Mohosana, popularly known as Murdah Bongz lobola negotiations via a tweet on Friday 12 August.


The first episode of the second season of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected got off to an exciting start when it aired on 6 August. The businesswoman dropped a bombshell – Murdah Bongz family came over to her mom’s house for her lobola negotiations. The Umlilo hitmaker revealed that her “baby daddy” Murdah Bongz wants to be called “husband” since the lobola negotiations.

Zinhle and the Black Motion star welcomed their first child together in September 2021 – Asante Mohosana. Asante is DJ Zinhle’s and Murah Bongz ‘second child. She already has seven-year-old Kairo Forbes with rapper AKA. On the other hand,  Murdah Bongz also has a son from a previous relationship.

 “Bongani and his family came to my mom’s house to negotiate lobola. And we decided that it should be a small thing, with just family,”  she continued.

DJ Zinhle went on to say that she never wanted to getting married but she and Murah Bongz talked through things.

“I just never had ambitions to get married. I never wanted it, I never felt like I was with anyone I wanted to marry but Bongani and I spent a lot of time talking about it thinking about what we want to do,” she said.

Now, she is excited to be his wife and loves telling people that they are married. Although, they did not seem to have had their wedding yet.

“I’m excited to be his wife, I’m excited to try something I never would of thought would happen for me. So now I’m married and I love telling people that,” she continued.

Entertainment blogger Musa Khawula shared a look inside the pair’s lobola negotiations from the episode of the DJ’s reality show.  Lobola is the traditional “bridal wealth” paid by the man to the family of his wife-to-be in the form of livestock or other means.
