‘Apologies’: DJ Shimza reveals why he has missed some of his gigs

South African international disc jockey Ashley Raphala popularly known by his stage name DJ Shimza has recently taken to his social media pages to apologise to his fans and event promoters after missing a few gigs he was booked for and had the support of several social media followers after he shared where he was and why he couldn’t make it for his gigs.

DJ Shimza attended the Burning Man Festival in Nevada recently. The event has recently topped the social media trends list after the event attendees found themselves stranded at the festival due to floods, The Guardian reported. An individual who had been at the festival was reported to have lost their life at the event. An investigation is said to have been opened.

DJ Shimza decided to bite the bullet after he missed some of his gigs over the weekend. He explained that he was ‘stuck’ at the Burning Man Festival.

“I missed some shows this past weekend and it’s coz I was stuck on the playa with no way to get out. Apologies to the event organisers and everyone who was looking forward to seeing me. [I] will definitely try to find a way to make it up 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️♥️♥️♥️,” he explained.

The Makhe hitmaker received sympathy from his fans and social media followers after revealing his reason for missing his gigs.
