The verdict that will determine whether controversial Doctor Nandipha Magudumana gets out on bail is expected to be ruled by the Bloemfontein magistrate’s court on Monday, 11 September, EWN reported.

WILL DOCTOR NANDIPHA MAGUDUMANA BE RELEASED FROM CUSTODY TODAY?

Doctor Nandipha Magudumana has spent several months behind bars since her arrest in Tanzania with her rapist and murderer boyfriend, Thabo Bester in April. The popular couple ditched South Africa after they were spotted shopping together following Bester’s successful escape from the maximum security prison, Mangaung Correctional Centre. He had staged his death by starting a fire in his prison cell and dumping the lifeless body of Katlego Bereng in his place.

Nine of the co-accused linked to Bester’s elaborate prison escape have already been granted bail by different courts, TimesLIVE reported.

Meanwhile, Magudumana has previously abandoned her bail application. And, instead, launched a court bid to have her arrest declared unlawful by the Free State High Court. Unfortunately, her attempts were unsuccessful. She had also argued that she had been forced to leave the country by Bester. However, after seeing her interaction with him in court, the court rubbished the claims.
