Woolworths South Africa is just as proud of local DJ Black Coffee as the rest of the country and decided to celebrate his recent Grammy Award win by handing out free black coffee to their customers. Taking to Instagram earlier today (6 April 2022), the retail giant announced that they would be giving away free cups of coffee all day today.

The news was met with applause from South Africans who think it is a wonderful way to celebrate the talented musician.

Woolies honours Black Coffee by giving away cups of black coffee

On Saturday 27 March, South African artist Black Coffee won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic Album and was immediately showered with praise from his fellow South Africans who could not be more proud of him for putting the country on the map.

Retail giant Woolworths is seemingly just as proud and has decided to honour the musician by giving free cups of coffee to their customers.

Taking to Instagram, they wrote:

“Congrats on your win @RealBlackCoffee! To celebrate, get a free black coffee at WCAFÉ and coffee carts, today only. Don’t forget to tag us if you share a pic of your coffee ☕📸

“Ts & Cs apply: This offer applies to a short 100% African-grown black coffee only, available all day on 6 April 2022. No milk, unfortunately. One per customer, while stocks last.”

After spotting the post, a grateful Black Coffee headed to the comments section where he shared three praying hands emojis and one red heart.

Mzansi loves to see it

Meanwhile, many of his fans headed to the comments section to praise both Black Coffee and Woolworths for the wonderful initiative.

One person, sylvesterchauke wrote:
