This, after images of the Wololo hitmaker were widely circulated on social media which got tongues wagging.

In the pictures that have been widely circulated Babes Wodumo is pictured with Ukhozi FM veteran radio personality Dudu ‘Lady D’ Khoza. Babes had reportedly visited the KZN based radio station this week.

While many tried to defend her from cyberbullies, many were adamant she is sick, is on drugs or there’s something wrong with her.

In a response to radio personality Jacinta Ngobese’s Facebook post about the many challenges women face during and post pregnancy, Babes set the record straight.

Ngobese had opened up about how she was depressed and also lost a significant amount of weight while she was pregnant for a number of reasons. She also spoke about how a new mom needs support and to be surrounded by love and kindness.

In response the Wololo hitmaker said she can relate to Jacinta’s situation and is glad that someone understands her journey.

“I lost weight during my pregnancy and after birth I lost more weight. It hurts to see women making fun of how I look,” she said.

The artist further said she doesn’t know whether the women who are making fun of her want her to hate her son and that she doesn’t understand what is so different about her.

“Is it because I’m a celebrity or because I’m a young woman who is finding her feet in motherhood? I am enjoying motherhood and I don’t know what they want from me.

“Others are quick to judge saying I am sick, I need help or I am taking drugs, just because I had a baby and my body is still recovering…I am not stressing about my weight loss because some of my friends and my sister went through the same thing.”
