‘I don’t give hands’: Mmusi reacts to Cassper celeb fight proposition

Whilst Cassper Nyovest has ‘blue-ticked’ Big Zulu for his next boxing match, tweeps have offered an unlikely alternative: Mmusi Maimane.

Whilst tweeps are calling on Cassper Nyovest to finally fight fellow rapper Big Zulu in the next celebrity boxing match, another unlikely opponent has been roped in against his own will: Mmusi Maimane.

The Build One South Africa political party leader unexpectantly waded into the boxing battlefield after he commented on a tweet by Cassper.

Over the weekend, the Billiato boss beat rap rival Priddy Ugly after just one round in the Celeb City weekend.

Following his victory, Cassper Nyovest has called on tweeps to give him suggestions on whom next to fight.

The muso and businessman has already fought three matches – a victory against YouTuber Slik Talk in December 2021, a loss against fellow muso Naakmusiq in April, and this weekend’s beatdown of Priddy Ugly.

But just two days after the match, Cassper is already itching to get back into the ring.

He tweeted on Monday morning: “I really want the AKA fight but knowing the little scared baby he is, he is going to run and avoid this topic. We all know he is scared of me so the question is…who’s next? Who would yall like to see me fight next?”

The tweet saw a host of replies from fans who weighed in on who Cassper should face off with

But an unlikely opponent entered the chat – Mmusi Maimane.

The Build One South Africa leader responded to Cassper’s tweet with a video of fellow celeb Siv Ngesi showing off his boxing skills.

He tweeted: “If you are really about that life”. When one tweep asked Mmusi if he was keen to fight Cass, he responded: “I lay hands I don’t give hands”.

Mmusi also claimed that a Cassper vs Siv match would be “interesting”.

He added: “It will be good for deconstructing masculinity. If he is dragged so be it as long as it’s a good match”.

Meanwhile, Big Zulu has offered to go head-to-head against Cassper in his next match.

The KwaZulu-Natal hitmaker reminded Cass of a promise made ahead of his match with Priddy Ugly.

In a tweet posted on 16 September, Cassper posted: “After I knock this Priddy Ugly dude out, want Big Zulu next fight!”

On Monday, Big Zulu retweeted the tweet, beckoning Cassper to: “Come here”. He added in another tweet: “Set the date, set the time, and I will be there”.

Cassper has yet to respond to the request.
