Back on December 12, 2012, people all over the world attended mass weddings. Some believed in the power of the angel number 1212, while others perceived this date as magical. In 2022, it’s 2/22, nicknamed the “Twosday.”
Too many, the 22nd of February has no particular meaning …well not if you’re a number geek or a Donda II album fan. But the date – 22/2/22 – which coincidentally falls on a Tuesday or a Twosday is actually quite significant
The date, written numerically, is called a symmetrical or palindrome date because the numbers read the same backward and forward.
The last time a palindrome date took place was 11 years ago on 11 January 2011- ie 11/1/11. And the next time we will experience it will be in another 11 years on 3 March 2033, which is 3-3-33.
2/22/22: AN ANGEL NUMBER
Whilst Twosday does not feature any other scientific significance, many numerologists claim it does have a spiritual meaning – if you believe in that, of course.
Numerologists have hailed the date an “angel number” – a number with repetitive digits.
According to numerologist Josh Siegal, Twosday is “all about community and collaboration”. He told Bustle publication: “The spiritual influence of the 22/22/222 is related to awakenings, insights, and revelations towards a higher state of mind.
“The purpose of the 2s is to learn cooperation and harmony and to reestablish a point of balance.”
Fellow numerologist Jasmine Wolfe added to Well and Good: “Two is the number of intuition, observation, and relationships.
“This day is a great one to reflect on how we communicate with our loved ones, and to seek to maintain an open-heart connection”.
TWOSDAY PLANS AROUND THE WORLD
Many people around the world have special plans for the once in a lifetime day. Whilst many Kanye West fans will be waiting to stream Donda 2, others will be walking down the aisle
In Malaysia, hundreds of couples have plans to tie the knot on Twosday, claim The Star.
And wedding planners around the world have also had their hands full preparing for the popular day.
“It’s very different, it’s not something you come across often. It allows (couples) to stand out and be unique”, US events planner Samantha Joder of Kaleidoscope Events told Providence Journal of the day.
For the impromptu couples, Las Vegas wedding officiants are expecting to see an influx of couples getting married on the day. And at the California State Capitol, couples are invited to attend a “collective wedding ceremony” starting at 2pm and ending at 2:22pm
Naturally, the tickets to be a part of the event cost $222.22 (R3 500).
