‘Friend paid’: Patron spends R93 000 on booze, tips waiter R8400 at SA restaurant

A patron shared her bill of over R93 000 on social media and revealed that the waiter was tipped over R8400 in December 2023.

PATRON: ‘I ONLY DRANK TWO GLASSES OF ACE GOLD’

The social media user @Tamaswati Nqobile Dlamini revealed on her Facebook account that her “guy friend” paid the R93 000 bill at a South African restaurant during the festive season.

“This is the bill my guy friend paid for us. I only drank 2 glasses of Ace gold here. I remember very well. But when I ask him for money this is what I dig for. It’s coming out after a fight hurre … I was excited for the waiter,” she said.

The bill shows that the patron spent R84 591 on alcohol, tipped the waiter R8459.10 and the total amount was R93 050.10 at the unknown restaurant.

The bill also reveals that the patron spent R35 000 on ten Veuve Yellow, R14 400 on four Veuve Rich, R14 300 on one Aces Gold, and R17 200 on 2 Henessys.
