South African Airways (SAA) is offering bargain fares of R 713 on flights to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
SA’s national airline has announced the restart of daily scheduled flights between Johannesburg and Gqeberha from 13 December.
It is offering some very attractive launch fares on the route.

BARGAIN FARES
While flights to most destinations are either fully booked or very expensive for December travels SAA’s flights to Gqeberha are attractively priced, representing a real bargain.
The airline offers promotional one-way fares of R713 for flights on this route. However, these flights must be booked by 27 December.
The promotion is valid for travel for the entire seasonal period, from December 13 this year until 31 March 2024.
Bookings are now open for SAA’s special seasonal schedule from Johannesburg to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
GQEBERHA (PORT ELIZABETH)
SAA previously flew to the coastal city also known as the ‘Windy City’ before its relaunch in 2021 – albeit as a much smaller airline.
SAA was set to relaunch Gqeberha flights a year ago but faced several difficulties in doing so, leading to a delay in the restart of this route.
The national airline has announced the resumption of scheduled flights between Johannesburg and Gqeberha from next month.

SEASONAL FLIGHTS
SAA will not be the only airline offering flights between Johannesburg and Gqeberha. FlySafair and Airlink also operate flights to Gqeberha.
According to Travel News, the airline is set to offer two flights a day on the route. Flights will operate seven days a week, commencing Wednesday 13 December, until the end of March 2024.
