Thobani “Que” Mgobhozi and Zipho “Goldmix” Mthembu of Distruction Boyz are well known for their banger hits such as Omunye, Shut Up and Groove, Midnight Starring, Amaxoki and more.

The Gqom stars broke the hearts of their loyal fans as they confirmed that they were left with one only last gig before going their separate ways.

“Members of the Gqom community, thank you for supporting us over the years! Allow us to take a break from being the Distruction Boyz duo you all love so that we can concentrate on our solo careers for a bit,” the Distruction Boyz shared online.

The musicians assured their fans that they planned to reunite at a later stage, but some fans were not convinced.

They commented that the Distruction Boyz announcement sounded familiar. The fans feared that the group would end up like Black Motion and Liquideep.

Nonetheless, they wished the musicians well on their individual careers and bid them farewell as a duo.

According to Kaya FM, the group had recently just gotten back together after initially splitting in 2020.
