‘Sibongile and The Dlaminis’ gains first position on Mzansi Wethu

Rhythm World’s popular telenovela ‘Sibongile and The Dlaminis’ is the most-watched TV show on Mzansi Wethu with nearly 1 million viewers.

The latest figures from the Television Audience Measurement (TAM) by the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) reveal that Sibongile and The Dlaminis is the most-watched TV show on Mzansi Wethu.

MZANSI WETHU TELENOVELA MAINTAINS FIRST PLACE

BRCSA January 2024 figures reveal that Sibongile and The Dlaminis is the most-watched TV show on Mzansi Wethu with 790 756 viewers.

The January figures also reveal that the Rhythm World’s telenovela, Sibongile and The Dlamini’s dethroned My Brother’s Keeper which gained fifth position with 763 825 viewers.

Sibongile and The Dlaminis is produced by Rhythm World Productions, which also produces Umkhokha: The Curse and My Brother’s Keeper.

The popular telenovela premiered on 31 July 2023 on Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163).

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ‘SIBONGILE AND THE DLAMINIS’

The Sibongile and The Dlaminis actors Ayanda Borotho and Siyabonga Shibe play husband and wife in the new telenovela.

Kaya 959 reports that actress Luyanda Zwane’s character Sibongile Mbambo, will have a surprising Cinderella-like tale awaiting her, and forbidden romance, when she joins The Dlaminis.

The show is set in the small town of Ixopo in KwaZulu-Natal and promises to explore timeless themes of love, sacrifice, ambition, and familial bonds.

Viewers can expect a hopeful, warm, authentic, and a real-world fairy tale, delivers superb entertainment.

The show also draws inspiration from the Zambian tale of Zuba and the Solalas and also stars Zodumo Shange, former The River star Vuyo Biyela and many more.
