Social media is in awe of a 13-year-old self-taught pianist, known only as Joshua, who has gone viral after his impromptu performance at the Table Bay Mall in the Western Cape.
Self-taught pianist hits the right notes on mall’s piano
A Facebook user, Schulla Pronk and other shoppers were stopped dead in their tracks when they heard the “sweet sounds” coming from the mall’s piano.
“This is Joshua,” Pronk wrote. “A self-taught 13-year-old. He’s never had a piano lesson in his life!! So gifted with so much talent! Sharing this video with his proud father’s permission who was standing close by and clearly as mesmerized as we were. I have Emanuel’s number if anyone needs it.”

It seems that the video was worth it, as someone in the comment section offered to arrange a scholarship for Joshua.
“Schulla, sent another DM with a principal willing to give a full scholarship,” said Melinda Schoeman in the comment section of the video that clocked in over 10 000 views.
‘Like sould food’
