Jesus might be one of the most famous names in the world, and this means that there are many portrayals of Christ found in movies and television shows.

Movies like The Passion of the Christ are all different interpretations of the same character, and this means that some of the portrayals are better than others.

Miracles of Jesus

The Miracles of Jesus is a short cartoon that many of us might remember seeing on television during Sunday mornings. Part of a faith-based network of cartoons, this is one of the most famous ones that explores some of the miracles reportedly performed by Jesus during his time.

Jesus (1999)

The series Jesus was released back in 1999, and it’s become one of the most famous mini-series featuring the life of Christ.

Starring Jeremy Sisto (as Jesus) and Debra Messing, who is famous for her comedic role in the successful show Will & Grace.

The Passion of the Christ

The Passion of the Christ is famous for being filmed almost entirely in ancient languages, subtitled against the wishes of its equally famous director Mel Gibson. After studios wouldn’t finance the project, he filmed the story of Jesus and the crucifiction himself – using his own budget.
